My review

This blog is for individuals that are interested in attending the Los Angeles Film/Recording School. LAFS offers four programs Recording, Game production, Film, Computer Animation. I myself am attending the recording program for audio engineering. FYI this is not “beat making” school or school for artist. I only mention this because you wont learn anything about being a artist here. Although we are thought how to “make beats” but its not the main focus.

I have been attending LARS for the past four months and I am having the best time of my life. Your first month at LAFS/LARS is a very interesting one called ESS or Entertainment Success Strategies. Were we learn how to network and be successful in this type of industry. This class is mixed with all sorts of students in all programs. If you would like to see my review of the ESS class watch my youtube video  here .

You can also watch my review on the other classes I have taken here Right now I am in film sound. Were the main focus in this course is post-production. Basically adding sound to films. Here is a small little video me and some classmates did. The main object was to sync the sound of the slate with the picture. In order to do that we recorded all the dialogue separate from the cameras built in sound recorder. We used a handheld field recorder and a boom mic and a livelier. And after uploading the video and audio to our computers, the goal was to sync the sound of the slate to the slate clap. Watch here all this was done in a program called Pro Tools.

I plan to keep you guys in the loop via youtube and this blog. If you are interested in the school here is a link to there website here. Also if you would like to check out a few of my tracks on SoundCloud here oh and also check out the laptop package overview Laptop package
